If only the whole world thought like Noah.

“Mal isn’t developmentally delayed -

his brain just works differently from mine

and if you think about it everyone’s brain works differently from each other’s.

That’s pretty special.”

~ Noah, 6  1/2 yrs.

I can appreciate Noah’s comment. We raised a boy who probably had Asperger syndrome, and his brain most definitely worked “differently” than ours. He was very intelligent but he drove us a bit crazy sometimes because he just didn’t “think” like we did.

That is beautiful. Noah is awesome.

  • Mary:

Noah and Mal both share a sense of joy which is evident in the photos. Btw Mal looks more like his brother than ever :)

From the lips of a child…..what sense…..if only everybody thought so clearly and beautifully. You are bringing up your kids so well. Be proud mum.

    Hi K,

To answer your question, Mal is our foster son. He has lived with us since he was just three. I don’t write about him or his brother AJ (also in our care) much due to privacy issues but they are both very much a part of our family.

  • Mountain Whispers (1 comments.):

Where does that wisdom go? I hope that lovely attitude stays with him forever. Wonderful photos too!

  • K:

Thanks Tiff so you have 4 biological children living(Ivy,Noah,Immy and Maddy) plus your 2 foster sons(Mal and AJ) thats a big house.

  • Tiff (103 comments.):

five biological children living, Immy and Maddy, who are twins and Lily who is my singleton girl and then Ivy and Noah, my second set of twins, Mal and AJ who have lived with us since they were little and who we have custody until they are 18, probably longer for Mal.
