Five things that made me feel happy this week.
1. Strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar.
Have you tried them?
They are to die for.
A friend of mine, who has two beautiful boys going through a very tough time right now, suggested this yummy snack.
She is just amazing and has managed to keep swimming through everything.
I’d never tried that combination of sweet and sour before but now I’m hooked
(and so are Immy and Lily)
Mmmmmmm!
2. The imagination of a child (or in my case children)
Driving through the rain on the way home from school, we discover a rainbow ending in the middle of the road.
I excitedly tell Ivy and Noah that we are about to drive through the rainbow and they both hold their breath.
I count down to impact and as we drive through Ivy’s eyes close and when they open again she says “that was magical!”
Noah looks around the car and his shoulders slump “Was that it?” he asks, “I thought I would at least turn into a leprachaun or something.”
3. Colour on a grey Winter’s day.
Nothing like a pair of rainbow boots to brighten up your day.
Shame they don’t come in Mummy size.
4. Being with family.
Some days are crazy busy in this house.
Some are long and lazy
but I always feel happy when it’s like this;
comfortable, content.
All of us together.
We might be doing our own thing but when we are all in the one place everything feels right.
5. Growth.
At six, Ivy was the same height that she was at five and a half – 96.6 cm
and four months ago, when we started the growth hormone, she was pretty much the same.
Now the small girl is only the teensy tiniest little bit away from hitting 99cm.
That’s and extraordinary amount of growth
and Ivy is very very happy with that
and that makes me feel happy too…
and want to go shopping!
What has made you feel happy this week?

Hi Tiff
)
I like your happy things and must try the strawberries, sour cream and brown sugar – strawberries are one of my favorites! So great about Ivy growing! And those shoes – so stinking cute!!
I have kept up with you and your family and you are so often in my thoughts and prayers!
I hope you are doing well and finding more and more happiness and peace!

Those things are all beyond awesome.
Beautiful post, TIff. Your family is awesome!
I am very very happy that I got 100% on my latest exam
Your strawberries, sour cream and brown sugar looked so good I had to try it – OMG – total awsomness – my new favorite snack – so, there ya go – that made me very happy! Thank you for sharing!
Such a lovely read! And such beautiful pics. Glad u having a happier week xxx
Strawberries, sour cream and brown sugar…
Hmmm, gotta try that one day
I love family time doing our own thing together too. It’s the best. Definitely taking note of the strawberries/sour cream/ brown sugar combo to try – have all ingredients bar one at the moment or I’d be trying it right now!
All sounds good to me, especially the happiness!
But have you tried rockmelon with pepper? Amazing how it enhances the flavour!
Happiness for me this week has been attending an amazing dance festival with family and recovering a very important mislaid document. xoxo
loving your 5 things hun!
What gorgeous photos! I would like a pair of those boots too!
Awesome 5 things Tiff – especially all of the family being in the one place together.
Hanging out alone with my husband aka without my father in law being anywhere near us is always the hi-light of my week, even if I feel like strangling and kissing him at the same time!
Strawberries, cream and BROWN SUGAR.
Mind: blown.
That is lovely good news all round. Love your photos too. So pleased to ead that you are getting your moles removed.
I have 3 prominent ones on my face and have never had the guts to get them off. So scared of needles and cutting but not… thanks to you, I am going to consult my doc and start the ball rolling!
Also… I found that I feel very self conscious and when I have to stand up to people [mainly doctors ] I feel that it lessens my authority. Weird….
Best of luck.

Your photos always make me feel happy… and learning about strawbs and SOUR CREAM!! I love brown sugar so it sounds like a complete win xoxoxo
That story about driving through the rainbow made me really laugh out loud – first I giggled with joy at Ivy’s reaction then hooted when I read that Noah expected to turn into a leprechaun!!! Just the difference in their responses is hilarious too – from ‘magical’ to ‘was that it??’ How cute.
