Being Dad.
According to David being a dad means;
responsibility, new perspective, being a teacher, nurturing, balance, time, quality and quantity, joy, sadness, worry, happiness and involvement, holding your newborn baby, watching little personalities evolve, dealing with the bad things : overwhelming sickness, death of one of your children, pushing forwards, accepting change.
Being a dad means being there.
According to the kids, being a dad means;
being the barbeque king, having mean computer skills, the lawn mower, the person who holds your hand when you cross the road, the person who replaces the batteries, the gadget man, going to work, doing the pick up from parties, being a teacher, being the teaser, being open to being teased right back, being the one who tucks you in when he says goodbye in the morning, being the one who makes sure there is enough money, being reliable, loving all of the time, even when you’re angry.
Being a dad means being there
for every one.

Celebrating Father’s Day.
Celebrating being there.
