Looking for the sun.

This is one of my favourite photos of the girl, ever.
Some of you may have seen it, some haven’t.
I feel happy when I look at it – her bright blue eyes peeking up over those polkadot sunnies,
the little pucker playing on her lips.
Quite mischievous,
an insight into a part of her personality that we rarely see anymore.
Cheeky.
A little bit flamboyant.
It might be Summer on the other side of the world but here it is cold,
freezing, by Australian standards -
doesn’t matter,
the girl, on this day, decided she was going to the beach.
Beanie and all.
She’d packed a small bag with a number of ‘essential’ items;
sunscreen, of course,
a book
and a toy – there is always a toy.
The theme at I Heart Faces this week is ‘gotta wear shades’.
Hot or cold, Ivy does sunglasses with style.

I love this photo because it shows the world that cheeky little soul that is often hiding. That soul shines behind her eyes and beams through those sunnys and shows the world she is ready for anything, and ready to do anything… in style. LOL

Love the contrast between the beanie, protection from Winter’s chill and those sunnies, protection from the Winter sun and that irrespective of the season, she is off to the beach, come hail or high water. Her sheer determination shines through in her expression and you have captured that perfectly. xoxo
