Community.
Yesterday Immy, Maddy and AJ’s high school had Team Ivy day.
The kids all gave a gold coin donation to wear street clothes.
The response was amazing, many of them dressing as fairies and princesses (Ivy’s favourite things) on what turned out to be the coldest day of the year so far.
It was a wonderful day and rather than trying to explain to you how one school came together to raise well over $2000 for Team Ivy and what that means to me, I’m just going to show you
in photos.
This day was amazing and a very physical show of how one community can help someone but I know that out there in the internet, I have an important family too – one who has helped us to reach $5000, one, who don’t really know me in the physical sense but who mean the world to me. If I could get you all together in the same room, I would hug you all until my arms were numb (and I would most definitely be youtubing the lot).

How absolutely and utterly brilliant. Love it. Well done all of you and what a great thing for the school to have been involved in.
Oh how wonderful! Well done to everyone!
That video made me cry…
Give Ivy and Noah some cuddles for me will you? xxx
Perfection. So glad it went so well. xx

FABULOUS!!!!!!
Congrats Tiff! Does it get any better than a smiling Ivy? I don’t think so.
That is just fantastic! And the photos are just great.
[...] But this? This is what one community can do. [...]
Tiff , I watched this on facebook and I just smiled and smiled all the way through.
[...] start to the day, this video clip will do it for you. Regular readers of this blog will know that Ivy is the youngest daughter of a friend of mine and now new readers know as well. [...]
That’s freaking awesome
Woo!
Watched the youtube from Kim’s blog and just sobbed. Tears of all things. It helped me believe there is good in this world. Its stuff like this that helps the world go round.
This just further confirms my belief that kids these days are different from when we were kids. And in a much better way.
Gorgeous pictures. In a day and age when no one seems to have manners or a care for others, this is almost life affirming. So proud of everyone. What a great effort. Go Team Tiff!
Congratulations must be sent to all the staff, parents & kids of Mountview High for their support & participation in the mammoth fundraising event that was their Team Ivy day. Heaps of praise especially to Team Ivy for making it such a fun day. This video says it all! Just brilliant! Ivy is so right to believe in magic, it really does happen.Well done!
I’d love to watch the video Tiff but it’s been loading now for 40 minutes and only 41 seconds has loaded, so I’ll get back to it tomorrow, when I have more time.
Looks like everyone had a great day in spite of the cold…..
Just lovely!!!
Tiff, what a wonderful day, beautiful pictures, and more raised for Team Ivy. The community rallying together is lovely, showing us all how truly generous people are.
Sounds like a wonderful day for Ivy too, and family. Tiring for you I imagine! Hope you were able to rest well.
