Ooooh Tiff, Ivy and Noah are scarily good at playing IVIG… Perhaps they will get honourary medical degrees before they even hit primary school! So glad Dayna was able to send this care package to you, and that the timing was so perfect.

Words are not possible to relay the joy I feel at knowing this came on just the right day, Ivy deserves to be empowered, like all other children with PI - I’m glad I was able to get this to you, but more than that, I’m eternally grateful that The Igi V Therapeutic Play Kit is available to help kids (with PI and their siblings) cope.

It’s been a tough road with our three, but at the end of the day, I’m grateful that there is medicine, that there are other parents, and that our kids have the chance to keep moving forward. It’s been years since the first diagnosis, and each day gets easier.

Thank you for these pictures my friend, they mean more to me then I can ever begin to express - your road may be long, and your journey may be tough, but please know you will never travel it alone.

But now I am wondering if there is a charity here that might take up this idea and run with it. Might ask DH if they have any community groups attached to his work that might be interested… do you know how many kids there would be on IVIG in Aus?

Wow. It is kinda sad that they know exactly what to do with the IV and the other equipment, but so awesome that they can feel like they can have their turn on the other side of the needle! That is an awesome package Ivy and Noah got.

It’s funny how things turn out like that. A parcel arriving on the day you so need it. What a wonderful gift! It would be great if something could be started in Aus for the children and families. I know our support group has been fantastic for us and we are so grateful for it.

What a fabulous idea and gift. if there is a charity in Australia that might have even the slightest interest in taking up the distribution of these kits your pictures would be the thing to put them over the edge — as someone else said they are heartbreakingly beautiful and tell the story of why these kits are needed without the use of a single word. Next time you see your immunologist (I think that’s the doc in charge of the treatment) maybe you should bring them and ask that doc for ideas for a charity to distribute.

Tiffany! I LOVE it! We’ve received those packages as well and, at the beginning, they helped Cody sooooooo much! Now everyone in the family pitches in! Lilly helps push IV meds through after we come home on treatment days now! I would LOVE to be a snail mail pen pal with your family! If you are interested, let me know!

How wonderful & thoughtful was this! Just thinking that maybe the blood bank could take up this wonderful idea and lobby the pharmaceutical companies here to provide something similar through either the blood bank or the hospitals. Might be worth a try, anyway. Regardless, it was a lovely & timely gift. Bravo! xoxo

The pictures say it all. Showing the importance of Play Therapy by looking at the individual expressions in both Noah’s & Ivy’s eyes. It must be hard to know the impact Ivy’s treatment has on Noah so for him to be included and have an IVIG bear kit as well as Ivy was so thoughtful. I am sure that if these photo’s were presented as mentioned in the above post to lobby appropriate agencies along with fundraising events and to National Media other children in your country would benefit from these amazing packs.

I am not suggesting Tiff that you should do this you have more than enough on your hands as it is.

Last time Jack was in the hospital he got a bear and bandages and syringes. That poor bear, he was definitely shot full of shots! I just assumed that all hospitals did the same for children. I’d definitely help any charity that took this on as a project.
