Me: Noah, drink your hot tea, please.

Noah: I caaaaaan’t because there are numples in there.

Me: Numples, what are numples?

Noah: They are the brown and white things that hold all the flew fairies in them.

Me: Oh and you can’t drink them because…

Noah: they have the fairies in them, I told you.

 Ivy: Mummy, come here! I have to tell you a secret.

Me: Okay, what’s the secret?

 Ivy (In over dramatic stage whisper) : “Snails have hand - tenners and when you touch them they go down!”

I loved four when each of mine was that age. As they got closer to five though I couldn’t wait to get them off to school. They were SO ready. But I will always remember four as the best year.
