A little while ago, we were asked if we would participate in the Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s annual Christmas post card production.
All we had to do was make a postcard with Ivy, showing her name, age, condition and a thank you message.
We were encouraged to have Ivy help as much as she was able.
We made three.

Yes, Ivy can write her name on her own and she can copy other letters too.
She wrote the ‘thank you’ in the first two. (My clever girl)
I know she’s not four yet but by the time these go to print, she will be.
The quotes at the top of the first card and the bottom of the third card came straight out of my girl’s mouth when we asked her about the IVIG and blood donation. She actually has been with David and I when we’ve donated blood, so it was a good opportunity to tell her how hundreds of people help to make her medicine.
These little cards and many more written by other recipients are going to circulate Australia wide over the Christmas season.
On the other side will be A seasonal photo.
Ivy was so proud of these when she’d finished and I must admit that I was pleased with how they turned out too
and of course, we are thankful and were very happy to help.
