Kids in school musicals who make you smile, make your heart swell with pride, make you totally and overwhelmingly amazed by their talent.

Wonderful young doctors who fast track  ER admissions and then work quickly to stablise the sick girl.

An excellent team in the paed emergency room.

Wonderful young doctors who come back to check on the sick girl when she is not responding as well as expected.

Short hospital stays.

Hydralyte.

Panadol.

Brief interludes of sanity, including  early birthday presents to see  John!  Farnham! (thanks Mum)

Small sausage dogs who believe they are babies.

Small sausage dogs who respond to car horns by springing from the lounge, racing outside and barking madly. ..

even if said car horn noise is coming from the TV.

Laughter.

Small boys feeling better.

That first cup of tea.

Light dinners.

Children convalescing.

Husbands who let you have a night off from the treadmill and bring chocolate.

A good night sleep.
