The view from here…

A cache of apple juice from days of not drinking

Cellophane “bed butterflies”.

Crafting the day away.

Smiling eyes.

Life savers.

Sanity savers.
The surgeons won’t put in a port. They feel that Ivy’s is at too much risk at the moment from an infection point of view and so she will have a PICC line in for four weeks and then have the port a cath. I understand but still it is two general anaesthetics and two surgical procedures, instead of just the one.
The good news is we will hopefully be home by Saturday and if there is a delay we will be allowed to have weekend leave.
The best news is the girl is feeling much better.

Wow the crafting looks like such fun
LOVE the photos. And LOVE that Ivy-girl is feeling much better. Home Saturday!! WooHoo!!

She is so gorgeous, even under that little mask.
And great news about heading home – fingers crossed.
I love you last post about nurses – you are one of those angels and I know that you would have changed the lives of your patients and their families. I wish you were still a midwife. And I wish that oneday I would have a need for you to be my midwife…

Sad about the two surgeries, but a PICC line is better than nothing and you’ll get to spend time at home where you can both relax a little before the next round. The photos are beautiful. Ivy’s smiling eyes….
