More news.
May 23rd, 2009 by Tiff

Ivy, David, all the other kids and I went to the official opening of the Year Of The Blood Donor on Thursday.

She met the Mayor and lots of other people too, donors, recipients, people who work for the Australian Red Cross.

She got to cut the red ribbon!

If you look in the sidebar, you can see the speech that I gave (or you could just click here).

Trying to wrap up all that has happened in the last three and a half years was difficult and I was very nervous but it was so worth it.

Ivy was in the newspaper again on Friday and despite being unwell, came up looking like a little doll.

Oh the powers of photoshop

and so ends our month of being ambassadors.

We’ve had a ball, learnt alot and met some amazing people and hopefully helped in some small way.

Yay go you guys… nothing better than a real person, and a darn cute one at that, to get the message across!!
Loving the new look too… it did confuse me a little at first but the colours are lovely!

I love the photo of Ivy cutting the ribbon. She looks so serious!
Love the new look here, bright, colourful, just like you and your family.

I love the new look. I really like that the photos are bigger yay. I don’t mind having to scroll from side to side if it means I can look at BIG photos…

Yay for the cutest ambassador and her cute Mum xox

Brilliant speech, Tiff. Very moving and powerful…. just what is needed.

And the photos are spectacular!

I love that your pics are bigger with this template, but I kind of miss the header from your old one. Still, I love the new colours (my favourites!) xox

Hi
Jeanette posted a link to this post in Facebook. I also did a post on donating blood today, so I hope you don’t mind me putting in the link to this post in my post. It can be found here: http://portelizabethdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2009/05/donating-blood.html

I am so proud of you guys.

And Ivy is absolutely adorable.

I’m sad too though–reading the speech and thinking about all you’ve been through. It’s incredibly unfair.

Not sure if you’d be interested in this, but the minute I saw this (and the prize), I thought of your beautiful kids. Check it out: http://www.parents.com/family-life/kids-style/kid-fashion/parents-cover-model-search-faqs/

Awesome! You and Ivy are paving the way for better treatment for all of our kids. She looks so sweet in those pics. The new layout is cool too. Praying you guys have a HEALTHy WEEK. When is your next IVIG?

Great photos, great speech & great write-up in Maitland Mercury. You both certainly worked hard as this month’s blood donor ambassadors. Let’s hope for lots of deposits in the blood bank as a result. Must admit this new layout was a bit of a surprise but variety is the spice of life & it is looking good.

Awesome speech. You guys have done a fantastic job this month, especially given Immy’s and Ivy’s illnesses to deal with at the same time. Tops job, all of you. xx

Well done both of you. She is surely the best ambassador they’ve had.

Like the new look, very colourful.
