Weekly Winners.
October 12th, 2008 by Tiff

Please keep Veronica in your thoughts. She is in the hospital with a very real chance of premature labour at 25 weeks.

Sunday means Weekly Winners around this house. My kids love finding out which of the week’s photos have made the cut.

You can find more participants over at Sarcastic Mom’s.

It’s been school holidays here for the last two weeks. Cash flow has been tight but sunshine and smiles have been in abundance. One day we went and bought some bubbles and some chalk. The kids built a cubby house with blankets and we had lunch and frittered away an afternoon in the sun.

Bubble watching. (Him, not me, I was gazing at the sweet boy)

thethinker.jpg

Noah, would you like to blow some bubbles?

“Ummmm…” he had to think about it.

dreammaker.jpg

He got the hang of it pretty quickly.

bubblesofmischief.jpg

Loved every minute of it.

Onto his second bottle of bubble mix.

Relaxing.

Another day we played inside. Noah was obsessed with his Ninky Nonk.

In his own world of imagination.

This is Noah’s “fwave -or -rite” book. Strangely enough, it was his father’s favourite book when he was little too.

Gorgeous photos as always Tiff. If you ever had any doubt about that photography question from a few posts back, these photos answer them, in my opinion.

I love the BW of Noah with the coloured train - do you have a quick and easy way of doing that in PS? I tried it once and it seemed quite fiddly. Wondering if there’s a simple method… :)

Just stunning photos, Tiff. I’m so jealous of your ability to create mood with tiny additions of colour….. and your simply fabulous eye for a great photo.

Makes me want to master the art. Perhaps you could give lessons?

Tiff, gorg photos as per usual! :) Absolutely love how you can capture the emotion of a moment in a child to the point where you can almost hear what they’re thinking.

Well I was wondering the same thing as Guera - how DO you do that - the color & black & white all in one photo? Looks very time consuming to accomplish!

I simply love, love, love the sister to sister and the sun kissed ones.

I’m heading to bed with prayers in my head for Veronica and her family that all will be fine. I’m sure this wait is difficult for her entire family.

You really must do this as a job - your photos are wonderful. Minnie is here wanting the ninkynonk and ‘a kitten in my pogg’et’ (pocket).

Thank you for adding me to your must read list in your last post…xxx

Beautiful photos Tiff, it’s impossible to pick a favourite this week. Had to laugh at the kitty in the overalls. Why walk when you can ride?

Oh my gosh. I don’t even know where to start. I love how close your family is and how there are so often such sweet shots like the Special Bond or Sister to Sister one. That kind of closeness is just so sweet and so special. Of course I love everything about the kitten wearing, too. Just adorable! I love coming here every week. Love it.

Oh wow! You are an incredible photographer. I love how you achieved such a nice depth of field in your portraits. That’s amazing considering you were photo-ing such young people who must move a mile a minute.
