Weekly Winners

Weekly Winners is here again.

I have up on offer for you today…

more pics of the most photographed children in the universe!

Do you feel bored lucky?

Sure you do!

Thanks to Sarcasatic Mom for encouraging my paparazzi skills my capturing of life as we know it.

Also: due to illness some of these photos span over a couple of weeks, just didn’t make the final cut last time.

Beaniegirl.

I had a bit of a play with some brush borders.

Winter boy.

We went to the park but the wind was whipping around us and it was freezing. Noah took refuge in the bus.

The pre teen boy. Caught. With a smile on its face!

wintertrouble.jpg

I’m sure this is what got me into trouble in the first place…

 Winter sun.

ivyputstheflutobed.jpg

This is one of my favourites. I have to admit, I have been sitting on it for a couple of weeks, trying to find a way to put it into a post.

That little green fellow is a giant microbe, modelled on the flu.

We got them from a place called Think Geek.

Another post but I really love stuff like this.

Ivy has a whole lot of them, the common cold, strep, staph, ecoli, red blood cell and his brother the white blood cell.

What can I say? If you don’t keep a sense of humour over all this illness then you really do get a touch of the crazies.

What’s that?

Having giant microbes in the house makes me seem crazier?

Yeah, I know.

Anyway, Ivy loves the flu.

In this photo she was ‘putting the flu to bed’

and I thought that was funny and cute a little bit ironic and way too real.

  1. I especially like the photo of the big boy! & the mother-love one. Keep clicking away, girl!

  2. OK I have a confession - Sunday is my favourite blog world day because it is weekly winners day.
LOVE this week’s - you have captured the people in your world most magnificently, as always.
I am also quite taken with the winter trees. I am sure that if you looked around the corner there would be a sign saying “Quiet please - Fairies Live Here!”.

  3. Wow great to see such a happy pre-teen boy :-) Love seeing your weekly winners. Your kids are so photogenic

  4. Um, David seems to have something on his chin. He might want to wipe that off before you take the next lot of photos.

As if you have time to read. Dream on.

You must have been quick to capture AJ’s grin!

    Beautiful pics, as always.

  5. We be science geeks in this house too. My mother-in-law found that giant microbe stuff at her local science museum and bought the baby the red blood cell. We think they’re awesome and make great gag gifts! (for the brother who caught ghiardia anyone? :)

  6. Your shots are always stunning, partly your talent and partly the gorgeous subjects. I love the border on the first one and the “putting the flu to bed” is just sweet. Beautiful shots, as always.

  7. Bored?? With those faces?? And your awesome photography? Are you kidding??

  8. Oh, wow. I don’t know which picture to choose as my favourite, they’re all so beautiful!!!

Thanks for your visit. Have a great week!

  12. I love the color saturations (I’m being presumptive and assuming that is played with a bit in some of these)! Very cool shots and the microbe thing? Awesome! Gonna go look and see if it’s available in Europe (where I am).

  13. Gorgeous. Again.

  14. Gorgeous pics - I love the first one of Ivy! How did you get the brush border? I’d love to try something like that. :)

  28. fantastic shots there

  29. I love Ivy’s blue eyes. Adorable!
And - I think I’m in love with the flu too.

  30. Gorgeous as usual. Love the green bug - my husband suggested ages ago (when I first did the big breakfast top) that I do a range of micro-organsims, viruses, amoebic forms, and chemical structures. I got as far as some basic cell structures and put them in the ‘need to work on these designs later’ basket, also home to the red fox, the sushi box, the catepillar and the mad dog called Mervin. Perhaps he was on to something…

  31. I enjoyed this Tiff, and the top post as well! I think you should put that flu to bed, one way or another! I loved the smile on your son’s face, he has the most amazing smile!!! Should not tell him though!!!

  32. They are all lovely shots, but you lead with the one that blew me away. :-)

  33. I have ecoli, and a bookworm …

  34. I want a microbe too… lol

  35. OK, I’m just cracking up at the giant microbes, Tiff — LOL!!! :D I soooo have the same warped sense of humor about this stuff ;)
