Another bloggy blah blah blah (Alternative title: The mother loses her mind).
July 25th, 2008 by Tiff

Spoke too soon.

Ivy is sick again.

blah blah blah.

Same old same old.

We called the doctor two days ago and, what a surprise, he never called back.

Blah blah blah.

Boogety “I’m too important” doctor’s receptionists who don’t listen and who won’t do anything you ask of them just because you are low life clientelle who want too much of the doctors time in their humble opinions.

Doctors who don’t give a rats.

Blah blah blah

Immunologists who say to call them on a specific day only to be told (by pitbull receptionists) they are not available to talk to clientelle and if you were wanting a word with the doctor that holds your daughter’s future in her hands, that you will need to make another appointment.

In three months time.

Blah blah bl**dy blah!

Snot and vomit and ear goop, oh my!

Tears, fever, worry and mess.

Hospital; will I won’t I?

Should I?

Blah blah blah.

Evening phone calls from doctors who call too late to be effective and don’t apologise for not ringing a script through on time.

Immunologists who just don’t bother ringing back, at all, despite messages left and clientelle doing what was asked of them.

I need a holiday.

Sure, like that’s going to happen.

Blah blah blah!

Oh, I have a sympathy headache! I found myself reading along, pressing my fingers into my temples and shaking my head at the insanity of it all. Do you know how much I wish I could just spell you for a week so you could go someplace and rest, Tiff? Oh, if I could! Sending you lots of prayers for the will to keep inching along — and lots and lots of hugs!

Oh hon. ((hugs)) and *chocolate* for you. Wish I was closer so I could help you somehow!

I’m sorry your girl is sick.
Sending lots of hugs and smiles to all of you - and I am swearing at the medicos and pit bulls for you, too.
Hope it passes soon.

“Hospital, will I, won’t I?”
Why are you dithering? Ivy is unwell.
Doctor can’t be reached. Immunologist can’t be reached.
Pigheaded receptionists don’t care.
HEAD FOR THE HOSPITAL.

Please.

Sucky beyond belief. Why are the receptionists such pit bulls. Seems that some of them have egos more suited to their bosses than themselves.

Don’t they get that we just want things sorted out for our kids???? Is that really so much to ask???? I didn’t think so either, but apparently it is.

Some Dr’s receptionists need to go and do “Chill Out 101″ and “Egos - How to Keep the Manageable”

Hope that Ivy gets better soon, if you are hesitating then go to the Hospital. Maybe, just maybe someone there will take you seriously

And on your next appointment with either idiot doctor you’ll carry a large stick…won’t you?!
Go to hospital - then Ivy is seen, medically treated and sorted out.
Plus hospital admissions go on record and they don’t look so good for the idiot specialists who have been out of reach, no matter how much they hide behind their receptionists.

((Hugs)) Tiff. I am snarling at the pitbulls for you, and swearing at those doctors. Head for the hospital…. Hope Ivy has a speedy recovery!

River said it before I could. Go. And buy a cricket bat to use on those pit bulls the next time the opportunity presents itself.

It’s very hard to get doctors today who are in business for the health of the patient. And it’s even harder to get the receptionist to care about the calls from us. I don’t know where the old Doctors code went today it’s how many patients and how much money.

I sure hope your family is alright and Ivy gets better soon.

We all share similar thoughts and experiences regarding doctor or hospital visits today. It’s so sad.

My best,

As a middle school teacher, my favorites are Pensive and the Preteen Boy pics. Very genuine…
