Irony.

Irony is;

when you discover that your daughter has mycoplasma pneumonia and the hospital doctor tells you the best oral antibiotic to treat it is the very same long term antibiotic (Erythromycin) that your paediatrician only ceased a fortnight ago, in favour of Keflex.

 Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

So, here we sit on three different IV antibiotics, waiting for her lungs to come good.

I love Winter.

Love it!

Oh NO! I assume from the wording that she’s been hospitalised again.
    Hope she recovers quickly.

  • Suze (13 comments.):

    Omigosh Tiff…….can anything ELSE happen?

I hope she’s OK and that the hospital are doing everything possible to look after her AND you?

    Hugs, and thinking of you

Man, you are storing up some serious Karma points here woman. I hope you are buying lotto tickets or something, cause this much shit in one persons life needs to turn around sometime…

Hi Tiff, It’ Carrie here (from BB), although I don’t get on BB as much a I used to I miss seeing you around and hearing how you and Ivy, Noah and the family are doing, they must be getting so big now. It sounds as though your life hasn’t settled down at all, and that Ivy is still struggling with illness, I’m so sorry to hear that.
On my side, I’ve had my little baby boy who is now 6 months and doing well. Hope to hear from you. Email me if you have a moment!
    Take care
    Carrie

I love that you still have enough of a sense of humour after everything that you can post something like this. I guess that the sense of humour is what gets you through it all.

I hope that the erythromycin does the trick for her and that she is better soon.

If its any consolation, we have passed the winter solstice so its downhill to summer from here :)

  • DBT:

That’s not as good as the GP who treats psudomonis with a drug that he knows does nothing against it, because he doesn’t like starting with that one.

Why do we have all the s**t doctors in this part of the world?

  • Betsy (89 comments.):

What can I say? Utterly ridiculous…

    Hang in there!!!

  • Sarah:

Oh poor Ivy. And you too Tiff. Big hugs for you both. I have had mycoplasma TWICE, and it was truly awful both times, so I feel Ivy’s pain. Surely she’s been through enough, I mean life just doesn’t seem fair. I hope the Erythromycin does the trick pronto, and doesn’t cause any other ills.

    I’m so sorry, Tiff!!!

As always, you’re in my thoughts. I pray that Ivy heals from this bout soon.

This is where I say naughty words….

FUCK IT ALL TO HELL, MAN.

    Winter can suck it.

  • Vanessa:

    I’m with Mr Lady.

I believe in the Fark Up Fairy and I thought she was visiting my place but it sounds like her twin has moved in with you!

Thinking of you and hoping things get better soon.

  • Secret Agent Mama (80 comments.):

    I’m always with Mr. Lady.

I hope Ivy’s better soon and that winter ends sooner!

  • Jayne (182 comments.):

(((hugs))) Hope Ivy is chirpy again soon and you’re both back home in the near future .

  • river:

Three different IV antibiotics eh? are they all combined in the one drip or does poor Ivy have three separate needles going in? That seems so harsh. Since Erythromycin causes problems for her, couldn’t they just temporarily give a stronger dose of the Keflex? Sometimes I think doctors are like those old dogs who can’t be taught new tricks. They have a fave antibio and prescribe it for everything, regardless of known side effects in particular patients.
(((HUGS))) for Ivy, get well, baby girl.
