Brace Face rides again.

The braces are on.

There’s not alot I can say to describe the metal that envelopes my daughter’s teeth.

The experience was as good as it could be.

The girl’s mouth is incredibly sore today and I am respectful of her pain.

She has kindly permitted me to show you the photos of the ordeal, so I can keep it on the blog, for historical purposes, you know?

I’m so glad I never had to have braces…

The pictures are amazing Tiff - you are a great photographer. Her braces are very stylish compared to the past.I hope the pain eases for Immy and she can eat what she wants .

I hope her mouth is better soon.

My son got his braces a couple of years ago, and after a day or three, his mouth settled down and he was fine :)

I feel her pain. I remember getting mine on. It was like being hit in the face with a truck each time my teeth slightly touched each other. Then each time they were adjusted etc was just as bad. It did get better over time though. But hmm not something I would like to repeat!

Oh there is an upside. choosing what colour bands she wants on the brackets each time to goes in for adjustments! I had glow in the dark ones & all! Mind you I was 18 when I had mine put on LOL

What Fiona said. Everytime my granddaughter had hers adjusted she chose a different colour. all pink, all blue, multicoloured…..We’d visit and she’d say guess what colour my braces are? When she finally got them off last month, she spent a LOT of time just running her tongue over her teeth, feeling the smoothness after the braces.

WOW! I got my braces put on 22 years ago but looking at these photos brought back SO many memories!!

Huge HUGS to Immy! Pain relief that worked for me was a large thick shake from Maccas that I drank as fast as I could and then I would take some Nurophen with it as well.

Mind you Maccas was around the corner from my orthodontist - not sure how helpful that will be for you! *grin*

Thoughts and prayers are with you always!!

Oh…those pictures bring back nightmares of pain. Having those things prying my poor TMJ ridden mouth open..a.nd then the PAIN afterward. Thank you for being respectful of it. All I ever got from my mother was “I had them to, I know what it feels like. Stop complaining.” Gee, thanks.

The end result…hopefully she can focus on that! Best wishes in pain recovery!

Holy Cow! Is that what we look like with those “plastic mouth opener thing-a-me-jigs” in! No wonder it hurts!

She looks as gorgeous as ever though, I hope she adjusts well!

Are they purple???? How cool is that! I had the option of silver, metallic or chrome lmao!

    ((HUGS)) to Immy

I had braces for four years. While they’re not the most comfortable things around, they do a great job and when they come off, it’s awesome to see your straight teeth! Great photos!

    Oh Poor baby!

I had braces and I’m so glad I did!

    She looks great.

Thanks for the detailed comment on my post- How to make the Most of your Trip to the Pediatrician. I was wondering whether I should write it not knowing if people really wanted my perspective. Now I know you do! :)

You’re so informed- I’d love to have you here!
