Weekly Winners.

weekly_winners5.gif

My WeeklyWinners are definitely a reflection of my week…except for the last one, which is proof of my husband’s OCD out of control while we were camping. Yes, he is sweeping the tarpaulin. Go to Sarcastic Mom’s blog to see more winners.

Lovely to see the gorgeous girl’s smile there. Hope next week is a better one!

  • Childlife (224 comments.):

So glad you’re all back home! That smile was definitely the bright spot of the week – hope this week brings many more reasons to smile, Tiff… and a nice comfy bed for you to sleep in :) Wish I could stop by and give you a break, but it doesn’t work so well half a world away…

    Hugs, you!

1-5 are just so ugly, (sorry) but 6 & 7 are just so beautiful.

her smile despite the week she’s had makes me wanna whack myself, lots.

    just magic.

I just love the look of hospital equipment (I know, I’m strange), all that technology just waiting to help people, and I’d like to thank the people that invented all those machines that go beep and ding etc. It’s lovely to see a smile back on Ivy’s face, I hope she stays well this time.
I discovered Aqium when my grandaughter was in hospital 3 years ago, we had to cleanse our hands before we touched her. Since then I’ve kept some at my checkout to disinfect my hands after handling really grubby “green” shopping bags or when handling money given to me by people who have just sneezed or coughed or even just licked their fingers to separate the notes in their wallets.

Oh no, you’ve had a rough week.
I’m glad to see she’s doing well! Feel better, Ivy!

He’ll sweep the tarp, but will he sweep the floors at home? The million dollar question…

  • frogpondsrock (99 comments.):

Sorry Tiff… but the medical equipment ones make me shudder…

On the other hand, Ivy’s smile makes me feel like skipping…

love the smile. What a beautiful baby! So glad your pictures had a happy ending. And the phi is totally jealous of that dorothy the dinosaur shirt! If you think your husbands OCD is bad you should see mine make tater tots!

  • Taz (22 comments.):

ivy has the sweetest smile.. :)

  • Liza's Eyeview (1 comments.):

    “she’s home and happy” – that’s wonderful!

I like the way you started with black & white photos and moved and ended with colored :)

  • Jientje (80 comments.):

I love how you used black and white on the medical appliences, and colour on that gorgeous smile of hers! I’m glad she’s doing better!
And um … I think you are an amazing mom, don’t ever say anything different!

  • Kelley (239 comments.):

I am with Jientje. The B&W and then colour. Captured the story perfectly.

  • laura (15 comments.):

Ew! It is very cold in here, but I think those made me shiver. :)
The “getting better” pictures are adorable, it’s like she’s saying, “Don’t worry, Mom, I’m still here. It’s OK!”

  • Veronica (623 comments.):

That first smile post sepsis is gorgeous.

What a week you had. Glad she is home and (((hugs)))

The pics are great, albeit sad, and your daughter is adorable.

  • Mr Lady (70 comments.):

So….I’m reading all this to get caught up and seriously? I almost threw up a few times. Dude, are you OKAY? I do not think I would be okay after that. Is she okay? DUDE.

My damn heart is breaking for you. I am so glad she’s getting better, though.

    ((Hugs))

  • Rebecca (38 comments.):

Wow! What a week you’ve had. I’m glad she’s doing better. The “first smile” photo is great.

  • Annie (28 comments.):

Oh my gosh, your poor baby! How horrifying! I’m glad she’s doing better – the first smile photo brought tears to my eyes.

Sending lots of virtual hugs to you, and hoping she continues to feel better!

  • julie (77 comments.):

That is a wonderful smile Ivy has…it must have been such a relief to see her smiling again.

  • Jenty (55 comments.):

I’m so glad Ivy’s home. It must’ve been so scary to watch her in that state.
Very good pics, the B&W is a perfect choice.

  • Secret Agent Mama (80 comments.):

I’m so glad she’s home. Wow, what an ordeal, and what photography out of it! I will continue prayers for you sweet girl. XXOO

  • Maggie (1 comments.):

Even though all the hospital stuff is scary and unhappy, I did love the pictures. Best of all, though, is Ivy’s smile and knowing she’s feeling better!

  • Kat (90 comments.):

    Beautiful photography… touching.

  • Marylin (184 comments.):

oh it’s so good to see a pic of Ivy smiling, a sure sign she’s feeling better! I can only imagine how you’ve been feeling the past week, these pics really let me in, so to speak… does that make sense?

I like how you’ve done the medical shots in black and white and then moved back to the colour for Ivy and your OH, really well thought out!

  • Wendy (7 comments.):

Awww! Poor baby! So glad to see her big smile at the end:) Hope she continues to heal quickly!!!

  • Michelle Potter (8 comments.):

I am so sorry to hear that your baby was sick, but so very happy to hear that she is now well! I went through something similar recently. I’m not ready to talk about it, but I just wanted you to know that there are people who understand and empathize — especially the questioning yourself part. All I can say is don’t; just thank God that she’s ok.

BTW, I responded to your comment about s’mores on my site. If you guys like camping, you need to know about s’mores!

  • HeadGaggler (8 comments.):

Aww, such a beauty. Great way to document your week, however stressful it was. It will be great to look back on.

  • Sandy (Momisodes) (19 comments.):

Aww, even as a nurse, it still kills me to see such wee little ones with IV’s. Her smile is just amazing :) Hope this week is better.

  • Karen MEG (27 comments.):

Poor little thing … but brave though. What a gorgeous smile! Hope it gets better this week.

  • Connie (22 comments.):

It’s so sad to see when kiddies have to go thru stuff like that! But oftentimes, they’re more brave than adults ;) That pic of Ivy smiling is adorable~she’s precious! Thanks for visiting my blog & commenting :)
