Pay it forward, bloggy bling and a few other things…

Kate from Picklebums (you should see her gorgeous baby boy) ran a ‘Pay It Forward’ competition and apparently, I won!

As part of the PIF tradition, now it’s my turn to do something nice for someone else and in keeping with this lovely idea, I will write a little about the winners’ blogs with linky love attached. I have no wonderful pottery skills like Kim but I can certainly provide a surprise parcel to the winners in the mail or I could make a scrap canvas like this one, if the winners are happy to send a photo (via email) to me. Whoever wins can choose.

So, all you have to do is comment and then I will randomly pick 3 people to win, that’s hoping that more than three of you comment :)

To make it easier to comment, I am going to ask you a question…

What is the one thing you would love to do in this life?

Go forth and comment!

Over the last few weeks I have been given some wonderful bloggy bling as well.

The ever generous and hip Mum from Sleepless Nights, Veronica gave me this award.

I’m going to pass it on to; Childlife, my kindred spirit.

Lightening.

From Talbots to Target blogger Betsy, whose blog I have recently discovered.

Jayne from Our Great Southern Land. Her blog is full of amazing Australian history.

The gorgeous Bettina from Dances To The Beet Of Her Own Drum. I just love her blog.

One of my favourite and first blog finds, Red Sultana’s author, Cellobella, has given me this. I am honoured.

I’m going to give this one to;

Dayna from Look Through Our Eyes. This is a very new find but I have been reading their amazing journey  and I love this post about what makes the perfect doctor. Go read it. A woman after my own heart.

Mr Lady from Whiskey In My Sippy Cup. I am thoroughly enjoying reading this blog. Besides that, she has had three hamsters die in quick succession, so I think she could do with some bling.

Finally, Summer from Summer’s Nook. She has a really funny post up at the moment about Mother Brain.

Trish from My Little Drummer Boys and Meg from Dipping into the Australian Blogpond gave me this;

I am going to spread the love to;

Anita from Boneblower’s World. She systematically went through my blog archives and commented. I love that woman!

Also, Snoskred, Leigh, Megan, Cellobella and Kelley. Some of the nicest, most helpful people I have ever had the honour to ‘meet’.

These last two awards were given to me by Childlife. A very special blogging friend.

    Oh thankyou so much! I love the new look as well, very nice.

    The thing I most want to do in this life? Grow old and watch all my children grow old. Preferably with a large garden and a home I own.

    Hey Tiff,
    Thank you!

    And what would I like to do most - oh there is so much! But if I had to choose…

    I would like to win an international bridge competition (or at this point even compete would be nice).

    :)

    Thanks so much Tiff. You are one of my daily reads too. I can’t think of just one thing I would like to do most. See my kids grow up happy, well-educated and fulfilled, travel more, pay off the mortgage, build my dream home….But don’t put my entry in your competition because Kate won her Pay it Forward from me, I won it from Lightening who did a post on my blog - so I’ve already had a go!

    And the new look is gorgeous!

    LOVE the new look!

    Hmmmm…the one thing I would love to do in this life? Well I have already married the man of my dreams and experienced child birth, those were biggies. Now I guess it would be to pay for an addition in cash. Hold a grandchild.

    Is that more than one? Oh well. Thanks Tiff you are the best!!

    Thanks so much for the award. I’ve been coveting that one. ;)

    One of the many things I would love to do in this life is have the money and time to make a genealogical research trip to my ancestral countries of Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany and France.

    What would I love to do…
    I’d love to make a difference. And not in some global sense, but on a smaller scale. I do my part with dog rescue but as far as humanitarian efforts, I lack the conviction. Still…I’m young. And I plan on doing *something* before I go.

    Thank you!!!! Going on my sidebar!!!

    Oh that’s such a tough question to answer…

    My answer used to be to perform on stage…I’ve done that.

    Another one was to be a mom…well, I’m doing that times 3.

    And a wife…also doing that (not always successfully, but I try).

    Oh, and I wanted to be a dance teacher….oops, I’ve done that, too.

    I always wanted to be popular…but then I learned that popularity isn’t always in how MANY friends you have, but in the QUALITY of friends you have….and well, I’d call that achieved for myself as well.

    So today if I had to answer that question of what I would love to do in life? Well…

    To be happy with what I have…and live each day with joy and not annoyance at the problems that crop up. To have true peace. I’m always SO close, but never fully achieved…I hope to achieve it…

    Oh look, you gave me one of your bits of bling - wow! Thank you!

    The thing I would love to do in this life - hmmm - I would love to be able to speak publicly and make a difference somehow - maybe first I need to know what difference I want to make, hey?

    Oh. My. Gawd!!! I got two!!!!

    Yay me!! Yay for Tiff. Cause you know she loves me bestest.

    And I just checked out your canvas. Gorgeous babe, when on earth do you find the time????

    The one thing I would love to do in this life? Fall asleep after a day of shopping for new shoes, eating chocolate and drinking coffee, Hot Indian for dinner and SLEEPING THE WHOLE NIGHT.

    OK, that was lots. Lets go with the sleeping the whole night thingy. I am planning on all the latter on my birthday anyway. Including a photo essay ;)

    Ah thanks Tiff - that’s a lovely award with a wonderful sentiment.

    The one thing I’d like to do? Take a holiday (not so much for me, but for the kids). It’s been too long :(

    Thank you so much. Totally unexpected! and I can’t stop smiling over it.
    One thing I would love to do? Win the mega-lotto just once, (once would be enough) and share the money with my 4 children, 5 grandchildren (in trust funds for their education and 1st homes), repay my brother for helping me financially soooo many times, make sure my sister is cared for, my niece would get a share and there would be some for my favourite charities. All of this after I’ve built my dream home with a permaculture garden of course.
